The history of the Association

The Association of Neurologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the oldest in the country as it is a member of the Republican Society of Neuropathologists and Psychiatrists, established back in 1964 on the initiative of Professor M.H. Farizov. Currently, it is headed by Professor E.S. Nurguzhaev. The Association actively develops international cooperation, organizes scientific conferences and promotes knowledge exchange among neurologists. The history of the Association is closely connected with the Department of Nervous Diseases of KazNMU, whose work began back in 1934. Important areas of activity are the research of cognitive impairment, vascular and demyelinating diseases.

The Charter of the Association

The Association of Neurologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a public association created to develop the theory and practice of neurology. It operates on a voluntary basis, adhering to the principles of equality and legality, and is registered as a legal entity.
The goals of the Association include improving public health, supporting specialists, organizing advanced training for doctors, conducting scientific research and conferences, charity and protecting the rights of neuropathologists.
Citizens of Kazakhstan and other countries with medical education can be members of the Association. Management is carried out through meetings and a Board elected for five years.
